Weddings
Live music at your wedding provides an engaging and elegant atmosphere. In a typical wedding setting, music can be played during the ceremony, at the social or cocktail hour, and/or during the wedding reception or formal dinner. Duo Mystique most commonly plays for the ceremony and then moves to where the social or cocktail hour is being held.
Music for the wedding ceremony can be divided into the following categories. For more specific suggestions to help you in selecting your music please refer to our ceremony suggestion list.
- Prelude – as guests arrive and are seated
- Processional – music for the bridesmaids or entire party
- Bridal Processional
- Recessional – exit for bride, groom and bridal party
- Postlude – as guests begin to exit and move toward the next location

Music can also be effective during the ceremony itself, such as the lighting of the unity candle, communion, seating of the mothers, or as a special musical number. This is a good way to personalize your wedding.
We offer a wide variety of music from classical to contemporary including jazz, Broadway, movie themes and international selections. Our music samples page includes an abbreviated list of our repertoire and audio clips.
If you would like to create a different ensemble such as adding a cellist or vocalist, we have a working relationship with a number of musicians and can arrange the ensemble to fit your individual preference.
